A new internship program is now available to post-secondary students. The Serving Communities Internship Program is a unique opportunity that allows students to gain valuable work experience in the non-profit/volunteer sector and receive a $1,000 bursary upon completion.
Up to 500 internships will be available to students enrolled at one of Alberta's 26 publicly funded, post-secondary institutions. Successful applicants can expect to gain meaningful work experience in one of Alberta's many non-profit/volunteer organizations, putting their educational knowledge and skills to work. At the end of the internship, students will receive a $1,000 bursary.
This program is the result of a collaborative effort between the Government of Alberta, Volunteer Alberta and the Alberta Students’ Executive Council. Go to www.joinScip.ca for further information and to apply for the program.
