Welcome to our annual capture of eCampusAlberta 2010/11!
2010/11 marked our eighth year of operations and we
had another record-breaking year of course registrations
and expanding impact across the member institutions. At
year’s end, we tallied a total of 16,599 course registrations
in over 700 courses made available by our member
institutions. This marks a 27 per cent increase over last
year’s registration total of 13,107.
2010/11 has been a year of expansion and growth as we
work with our members to extend access to communities
province-wide and to improve learner services and
support. Collectively, our successes in working
collaboratively continue to expedite our abilities to
develop learner support solutions, increased awareness and
most notably access in communities across the province.
We have enjoyed a year of increased member engagement and growth in the
number of courses with well over 100 new courses made available in the
shared inventory. We continue to benefit from support received from the
Ministry of Advanced Education and Technology, and in concert with our
member institutions we are committed to the realization of the vision of
Campus Alberta.
I encourage you to explore the highlights of our activities and outcomes
that contributed to the success of eCampusAlberta during our 2010/11 year.
Throughout the report, we have included quotes from student stories and
examples of member institution success.
The 2010/11 Annual Report is designed to be user-friendly and provide a
